ALMOST a month since her controversial open letter to fans, Phenomenal Star Maine Mendoza posted updates on her Instagram account yesterday morning.
Mendoza left the country for a pre-Christmas vacation in the US with her siblings.
Yesterday, she shared a photo via her Instagram Stories of her enjoying a roller coaster ride at the Universal Studios with her sister, Coleen and brothers Nico and Dean.
“By far my favorite rollercoaster. Intense! Dean’s first ever rollercoaster ride! We are all so proud,” Mendoza captioned the photo.
Shortly after, she posted a photo of her smiling with the caption: “Life is short. Smile often.”
The photo had more than 250,000 likes and more than 8,000 comments as of 7 p.m. last night. Following her open letter, Mendoza took a break from her hosting duties on “Eat Bulaga!” where she started her showbiz career two years ago as the character Yaya Dub.
Reports say she is set to return on January 1 during the noontime program’s first live episode for the year 2018.
Prior to yesterday, Mendoza’s last Instagram post was on November 21—a photo of her at the Bench fashion show, where she was the most applauded star.
On November 26, Mendoza published an open letter to fans where she asked for freedom and revealed that she and Alden Richards (the other half of the phenomenal AlDub tandem) are just friends.
