Shot fired by owner of clamped vehicle

Police authorities are looking for a man who fired a shot at the clamp on his vehicle along General Maxilom Avenue in Cebu City on Thursday morning.

Traffic enforcers and a policeman clamped a vehicle that was parked on a no-parking area past 7 a.m today.

Supt. Conrado Manatad, chief of the Cebu City Police Office Traffic Patrol Group, said they later received a report that the vehicle owner fired a shot at the clamp.

A hot pursuit operation was conducted, but the policemen could no locate the suspect.

Charges will be filed against the suspect for indiscriminate firing and violation of traffic rules.

Manatad added that they already identified the suspect after tracing his live-in partner.
