DBTC nipS USPF, captures U14 title in Allianz National Futsal Invitational

THE Don Bosco Technical College (DBTC) once again dominated the Cebu-leg of the Allianz National Futsal Invitational, this time, clinching the Boys’ 14-Under title at the covered court of the University of San Carlos-Technology Center in Talamban, Cebu City.

In the championship round, DBTC-Savio defeated the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF), 4-2. USPF settled for second place. Finishing at third was Abellana National School via 4-2 win over DBTC-Magone.

USPF did not go home empty handed as it copped the girls crown following a 3-2 win against Guardian Strikers.

Salvaging third place was Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu who routed Labogon FC, 7-0.

The winners in this competition will advance to the regional eliminations which will take place in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental from May 12 to 13. And, the regional champions will proceed to the national finals in Santa Cruz, Laguna from June 2 to 3.

Also, 10 lucky players who qualified to the regional and national finals will be given a chance to join the Allianz Junior Football Camp with Bayern Munich in Thailand and possibly in Germany.
