By: MAO BA? May 23,2018 - 09:09 PM

The news about the female passenger who died in a road mishap involving a 10-wheeler truck and a multicab in Naga City, Cebu, on Tuesday, May 22 drew mixed reactions from netizens.

Dale L Roach wrote, “Wider roads with more lanes is the answer to this problem , plus not allowing houses to be built so close to the roads.”

Another netizen named Gem Anthony Sarol expressed sympathy to the families of those who had died in the incident: “May rest in peace to Mam Daisy Cecilia S. Bonita, Grade 1 SciTech Teacher of Langtad Elementary School, passenger of multicab of the said accident.”

While Justine Glenn Luoya noted that there have been jeepney drivers who don’t signal when they stop and would just stop in the middle of the road to unload passengers, without consideration to the safety of their passengers.

He said: “(U)sahay man gud kining jeep (dili tanan) di gyud mo signal kung mo padaplin para mo urong, anha tunga sa dan mag unload. Naa pay uban mo hata og padaplin mag tuo na mo sakay ang tao nya kung tan aw nila dili mo sakay gawas rapod ditso mora rag way nag sunod ba. tsk.”
