Mitsubishi Motors starts joint study on electric vehicles with the academe

MITSUBISHI Motors Corporation (MMC) last week formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the academe for a joint study on electric vehicles (EV) in the country.

MMC seeks to promote the use of eco-friendly vehicles such as the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Vehicle) and i-MiEV.
Spearheading for the academe in this study is De La Salle University (DLSU).

Present during the MOA signing were DLSU Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation, Dr. Raymond Girard Tan; DLSU Director for Engineering and Sustainable Development Research, Dr. Jose Bienvenido Biona; and Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation(MMPC) President and CEO

Mutsuhiro Oshikiri. Also there to witness the signing ceremony were Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Undersecretary Ceferino Rodolfo, Assistant Secretary Rafaelita Aldaba and other members of the academe.

Other members from the academe included Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU), Mapua University, Technological University of the Philippines (TUP) and the University of the Philippines (UP).
