GET ready for the thumping, drumming, and thunderous festive cheers! Experience authentic Dragon Boat Festival celebrations in Hong Kong like a local with your favourite PH teams.

The Dragon Boat Festival is always associated with sunny, energy-filled summer days and adrenaline-pumping dragon boat races.

As a global metropolis, Hong Kong is well-known for throwing exhilarating and lively events where exciting elements from the east and west culture seamlessly co-exist, and the Dragon Boat Festival is certainly no exception.

With the Dragon Boat Festival and a series of other celebrations happening during the Dragon Boat Carnival in June, it is a great time for Filipinos to come to Hong Kong to experience the city’s diverse cultural and festive appeal like a local.

During this year’s Dragon Boat Festival, cheer for your favorite Philippine Dragon Boat teams for this is something not to be missed! This year, Cebu-based Philippine Accessibility Disability Services, Inc. (PADS)1, together with the Triton Dragon Boat Racing Team 2, are making their comeback after winning gold and silver medals, respectively, last year.

Organized by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) and co-organized by the Hong Kong China Dragon Boat Association (HKCDBA), the Hong Kong Dragon Boat Carnival will return with its 9th edition from 22 to 24 June (Friday to Sunday) at the Central Harbourfront and Victoria Harbour.

In addition to the thunderous boom of beating drums and splashing waves in the Dragon Boat races, the three-day Carnival will also feature food trucks serving local delicacies, beer fest, and a lot of music and entertainment, guaranteeing a variety of great summer fun for visitors.
