HER latest film—the highly anticipated “BuyBust”—has yet to hit screens next week but Anne Curtis is already creating more buzz after the teaser for her Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2018 entry, “Aurora” was released.
Cebuanos got to watch the teaser right before the Cebu screening of “BuyBust” last Sunday at Robinsons Galleria Cebu.
In the teaser, Curtis introduces herself as Leana.
She recalls that a passenger ship named Aurora sank off a rocky shore in their island.
In the video, Leana says she wants to help the affected families by finding the missing bodies of the passenger.
She says that doing so would give the families and their island peace.
”Aurora” is a film by Yam Laranas, who directed the horror flicks “The Echo,” “Patient X” and “The Road.”
Last May, Curtis posted photos of the shoot they had in Batanes.
The rest of the cast have yet to be announced.
This is not the first time Curtis stars in an entry for the MMFF.
In 2008, she topbilled “Baler” with Jericho Rosales.
She won the Best Actress for that film during that year’s MMFF Awards Night.
