The Cebu City government has urged University of the Philippines (UP) Cebu to provide a relocation site for all settlers occupying a lot owned by the university in Barangay Lahug, Cebu City.
Lawyer Miriam Fernandez of the City Legal Office said UP Cebu must look for a place where the affected families can transfer.
A court in Cebu City has already issued a writ of demolition against families occupying the lot owned by the university.
Fernandez said the city government, however, will not implement the demolition order unless UP Cebu provides a relocation site for the settlers.
