Police investigators are validating reports that the person who supplied the P6.4 million worth of shabu seized in an operation on Monday evening (August 27) came is an inmate of the Cebu City Jail.

Chief Insp. Jackyll Bilibli, chief of the Drug Enforcement Unit of Cebu City Police Office (CCPO), however, said that the prohibited substance was not produced inside the jail.

The inmate, identified as “Jim”, is simply communicating with contacts through his mobile phone.

Three men, including a 17-year-old, were arrested by the enforcement unit in a drug bust in a condominium in Barangay Apas, Cebu City.
