A teacher was arrested in a drug bust in Dumaguete City, on August 31, Friday afternoon.
Police identified the suspect as Richard Rivera, 48, from Sitio Tabuc Barangay San Isidro town, who was arrested for possessing illegal drugs.
According to Dumaguete Police Station Chief Supt. Jonathan Pineda, the drug bust was conducted after receiving reports of the suspect’s involvement in the illegal drug trade.
Pineda also said that the suspect was included in their drug watch list.
A medium pack and a small sachet of suspected drugs were seized from Rivera’s possession.
The suspect is now detained at Dumaguete Police precinct pending the filing of charges against him.
