This was the reaction of Asia’s Pop Sweetheart Julie Anne San Jose on Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid’s decision to transfer to ABS-CBN.
San Jose, who was in Cebu City yesterday to promote ”Barangay 143”, GMA’s newest Filipino anime basketball show, where she is one of the voice talents, told members of Cebu’s Entertainment Group that she has learned a lot from the Asia’s Songbird.
“Madami akong natutunan sa kanya hindi lang sa pagkanta, but I also in terms of dealing with life,” she said.
Last January, San Jose, Velasquez-Alcasid, and Christian Bautista were in Cebu City for their “3 Stars and 1 Heart” concert.
“Madami siyang life lessons and wisdom na just keep on singing, just keep on doing what you love, and inspire people through your music.
Always be humble and keep your feet on the ground,” the 24-year-old singer-actress said.
Last Thursday, Velasquez-Alcasid officially inked an exclusive contract with ABS-CBN after staying for two decades with GMA.
According to ABS-CBN’s post on Instagram, the 48-year-old singer will have a sitcom with husband Ogie Alcasid.
She will also be a judge on a new show called, “Idol Philippines” and will become a mainstay of the Sunday noontime show, “ASAP.”
