Kenneth Medrano and Shaila Rebortera excited about new home of ‘Eat Bulaga’

CEBUANO actor Kenneth Earl Medrano is excited for the transfer of “Eat Bulaga” to its new home, the APT Studios in Cainta, Rizal.

The transfer, scheduled on Dec. 8, was announced on Dec. 1 by the show’s main hosts, Joey de Leon and Vic Sotto.

“Siguro mas nindot ug dako unya dili delikado. Kay sa Broadway (Centrum) murag mo-uyog na bitaw. Pila na pud gud to ka dekada,” said Medrano, who officially became part of the “Eat Bulaga” family after winning the “That’s my Bae: Twerk It” dance contest in 2015.

Medrano spoke to Cebu Daily News last Sunday during the auditions for “Eat Bulaga’s” segments, Boom and Bakclash held at J Centre Mall in Mandaue City.

“Karon daghan sad rooms. Dili na siksik ang mga tawo if naa’y mga guests. Expanded na siya,” he added.

The Broadway Centrum in Quezon City has been the noontime show’s home since 1995.

With the new studio, Medrano hopes that he and his fellow “That’s My Bae” members will have more years working together in “Eat Bulaga.”

Aside from Medrano, Miss Millennial 2018 Shaila Mae Rebortera was also present during Sunday’s auditions, along with DJ Malaya, who is also a new addition to the show.

“I hope I get to visit there more often,” Rebortera said, referring to the APT Studios. The Cebuana beauty queen, who was crowned in October,

is currently based in Cebu as she is finishing her Dentistry course.

The Broadway Centrum is important to her as it was part of her Miss Millennial 2018 journey. It was where she was presented along with the other candidates, performed her talent, and where she got to showcase the beauty of Cebu.

“I hope to make new memories in the studio,” Rebortera said.

“Eat Bulaga!” is the longest running noontime show in the country. It is produced by Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE).
