A foreigner who had a toy gun tucked in his waistband caused panic among passengers in the South Bus Terminal on Friday afternoon.

Piotr Kasztelewicz, 37, who holds dual Canadian and Polish citizenships was allegedly seen with a replica of a 9mm pistol in his waistband when he arrived at the terminal at around 5 p.m.

This alarmed passengers prompting them to complain to policemen assigned at the terminal. Police headed by PO3 Jake Semilla immediately responded and nabbed the foreigner.

Also recovered from his possession was a 19-inch bolo which he hid in his bag.

The foreigner, who claimed to be a recording artist, is now detained while complaints for violation of the election gun ban were filed against him yesterday.

POLICE arrested a suspected drug pusher in a buy-bust operation in barangay Camputhaw, Cebu City Sunday night.

Suspect Donald Policar, 36, of Purok 8, Camputhaw allegedly sold a pack of shabu to a poseur-buyer in exchange for P500.

City Intelligence Branch (CIB) headed by Chief Inspector Romeo Santander said residents in the area tipped police on Policar’s alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade.

Aside from the pack of shabu seized during the buy-bust operation, operatives also seized five medium packs with an estimated street value of P15,000 and P2,000 cash believed to be proceeds from selling shabu.

Evidence recovered were submitted to PNP Crime Laboratory for chemistry examination while appropriate complaints were prepared for filing.
