Badian canyoneering, Kawasan falls operations closed on Good Friday

CEBU CITY, Philippines—Those who plan to spend the Holy Week on trips and adventures around Cebu can get Badian canyoneering and Kawasan falls water adventures off their list, at least during for Good Friday on April 19, 2019.

The Badian Canyoneering Commission has announced on Monday, April 15, that canyoneering activities as well as tourism activities at the Kawasan falls will be suspended  in observance of Good Friday.

Municipal Councilor and Tourism Committee Chairman Mark Andrew Jorolan, in a Facebook advisory, said the closure of Kawasan Falls and suspension of its tourism activities is provided under the Badian’s tourism ordinance.

“As provided by Municipal Ordinance No. 11 – 2017, Badian Canyoneering Adventure and Kawasan Falls shall be closed on Good Friday, April 19, 2019, “ Jorolan wrote.

“May we all have a meaningful and blessed Holy Week,” he added. /bmjo
