Batch 2015 tramples Batch 2009 in SHAABAA hoops

Cebu City, Philippines—Batch 2015 took down 2009, 61-51, in the 2019 SHAABAA Summer League Badboys Wingz Cup last Friday, April 12, at the Magis Eagles Arena in Canduman, Mandaue City.

Diminutive guard Nino Araw-Araw stood tall over everyone else as he led 2015 with 20 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals. 

Anton Chua and Steven Co flirted with double-doubles as the former had 13 points and nine rebounds while the latter collected 11 markers and nine boards.

In another game, 2013 downed 2008, 63-54, behind Jacob Lee’s stellar 16-point performance. 

Nikki Pimentel also had solid numbers of 11 points, five rebounds and four assists to help 2013 claim the victory.

2011 also nipped 2006, 47-45, as Kiefer Lim had 13 points and eight rebounds while Bradley Bacaltos put up 11 points, six boards and six dimes. Bernard Chioson finished with a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

And finally, 2012 clipped the Magis Eagles B, 68-64. Mavii Suarez ended up with 13 points while Patrick Go added 12 in the hard-earned victory by 2012. /bmjo
