LAPU-LAPU CITY, Philippines — The P1 million cash reward promised by the Lapu-Lapu City government will only be released to its designated recipient as soon as the murder case against the killer of Christine Lee Silawan is elevated to the court, said Mayor Paz Radaza.

In a press conference on Wednesday, April 17, Radaza said she wanted to wait until such time that Silawan’s real murderer is already charged in court.

The Lapu-Lapu City government promised a P1 million reward for any information that would lead to the arrest of Silawan’s killer. Several other individuals and groups also promised to shell out cash to bring the cash reward to a total of P2 million.

“As what I have mentioned before, we will give the (P1 million) reward kung kinsa ang maka solve sa kaso. Daghan na man gud ang na involve ani. Ang NBI, police hasta ang PAO. Mag huwat lang ta kung unsa ang finality on this case,” Radaza said.
