It’s going to be a hot day on Good Friday

Cebu City, Philippines —If you’re planning to go outdoors for some of the Holy Week activities on Good Friday, be sure to bring some water with you.

Cebu is expected to experience hot weather on Good Friday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration in Central Visayas (Pagasa-7). 

The temperature for today is expected to reach 33 to 34 degrees Celsius, according to Romeo Aguirre, weather specialist of Pagasa-7.

“Clear sky man ta karon noon time and afternoon so expected nato nga taas gihapon atong temperature”, Aguirre said.

(We have a clear sky at noon time and afternoon today so expect a high temperature.)

Aguirre mentioned that the highest maximum temperature for this year was experienced on Thursday, April 18. 

Pagasa-7 recorded a temperature of 34.4 degrees Celsuis with a heat index of 43 degrees Celsius.

Heat index refers to the temperature felt by human body. /bmjo
