Presyo Merkado: The three-ingredient biko recipe

CEBU CITY, Philippines — The traditional biko, the kind that your grandmother cooked when you were a child back in the province, only consists of three ingredients.

These are pilit (glutinous rice), coconut milk (expressed from grated coconut) and kinugay (muscovado sugar).
