Semifinal cast in MCBL tourney complete

CEBU CITY, Philippines—Only four teams are left standing in the Metro Cebu Basketball League (MCBL) Season 5 Recreational Division 6 Feet Under after the conclusion of quarterfinal matches on Sunday, February 16, 2020, at the City Sports Club-Cebu.
The semifinalists are Sherilin, Hoopsters, AngelMary Pawnshop, and Lite Shipping. The semifinal skirmishes will be held on February 23, 2020, at the same venue.
The semis pits AngelMary versus Lite Shipping in the 4 p.m. match and Hoopsters taking on Sherilin in the 5:30 p.m. game.
Sherilin advanced to the Final 4 with a, 93-85 win over RMA behind the 19 points of John Velasco. AngelMary, meanwhile, posted a hard-earned, 98-94 win over hard-fighting Air22, behind the game-leading 35 points of Rex Tuazon.
Lite Shipping took down Techxprts, 79-73, while Hoopsters routed Scoregasm, 100-71, to complete the semis cast.
Jack Echavarria had 18 points, six rebounds, four assists, and three steals for Lite Shipping while Wilmer Paloma led Hoopsters with 36 points, 12 rebounds, four steals and one assist./rcg
