A 6.3 magnitude earthquake struck Negros Occidental at 6:16 p.m. Thursday. According to Phivolcs website, the tremor’s epicenter was 49 km southwest of Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental.
In Cebu and Lapu-Lapu City, the earthquake was felt at Intensity 3, said Phivolcs Reasearch specialist Janella De Ocampo.
The quake was felt for less than 10 seconds although the quake was over 400 seconds based on our instrument records, said Ishmael Harag of the Seismology Division.
