MEMBERS of the Dancesports Team Cebu City (DTCC) will start their bid for glory today when the Asian Dance Sports Council’s 21st International Dance Teachers Association’s IDTA Cup formally unfolds at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium in Hong Kong.

The DTCC, spearheaded by Crisaldo “Loloy” Rendon and DTCC director Eleonor O. Hayco, arrived in Hong Kong yesterday morning in time for the event’s formal opening later that night.

A total of 24 titles are at stake in today’s round, which will feature the Teacher-Student and Pro-Am categories in both the Latin and Standard events.

The multi-awarded pair of Rendon and Hayco will break the ice for Dancesports Team Cebu City’s quest for glory when they see action in the Latin Category’s Pro-Am C and Pro-Am B events of the competition.

Aside from Rendon, the other DTCC members who will start their bid are the pair of Romeo Jay Cialbo and Ma. Luzviminda Poitiers (Standard Teacher-Student). Jimmy Noel and Elizabeth Zets will also be under the spotlight when they compete in the Teachers-Student Latin C and Standard Teacher-Student C categories.

Hayco will also see action in the Adult Latin Senior C category tomorrow afternoon with Davin Unabia as her partner.
