Tisa fire injures 4 workers, damages P3K worth of properties

CEBU CITY, Philippines – Four workers sustained second-degree burns on their arms after they tried to help put out the fire that damaged their bunkhouse that is located in Sta. Teresita Village in Barangay Tisa, Cebu City past 10 p.m. on Friday, September 25.

The first alarm fire also damaged P3,000 worth of properties, said Fire Officer 2 (FO2) Emerson Arceo of the Cebu City Fire Department.

Arceo said they continue to investigate the cause of the fire which may have been prompted by electrical overload.

The fire broke at around 10:30 p.m. and was placed under control 11 minutes later.

The injured workers were identified as Juani Macalua, Regner Gastillana, Romnick Cempron, and Felix Ojeda.  All of the four sleeps on the bunkhouse owned by Jun Encorporado.
