In the spirit of the season of giving, Senator Sherwin “Win” Gatchalian and family, together with the premier city hotel, Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino, successfully turned over a total of 110, 000 pieces of face shields to different local government units: on December 7 and 11.
From over a hundred thousand face shields donated, 50,000 pieces were given to the Cebu City government and the Cebu Province each, while 10,000 pieces were given to Barangay Lahug.

Headed by Waterfront Cebu general manager Anders Hallden, the turnover ceremonies of protective equipment were warmly received by Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella, Cebu Provincial Governor Gwendolyn Garcia, Lahug barangay captain Hazel Ann Empleo, and their respective staff. Also in attendance were the department heads and the representatives of the city hotel.
