Two policemen were restricted to camp after they figured in a trouble outside a bar in barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City.

One of the policeman allegedly fired shots.

The two policemen were identified as PO1 Rodel Demaangay, 33, and PO1 Donald Balansag, 27, both assigned with the Cebu City Public Safety Company (CCPSC).

According to the investigation, the two policemen were about to leave the bar at around 2 a.m. yesterday when the Nissan car driven by Demaangay hit three parked motorcycles.

The two policemen later argued with the motorcycle owners identified as Regan Rosel, 32; Jovert Aropo; 36; and Nestor Arugay Jr., 33.

At the height of the argument, PO1 Demaangay drew a 9mm caliber pistol and fired shots downward, said PO1 Michael Lima-Lima of the Subangdaku Police Station.

People in the area panicked because of the gunshots.

PO1 Balansag also whipped out a 9mm caliber pistol but did not fire it.
Operatives of the Subangdaku police arrived and arrested the two policemen.

The two policemen tested negative for alcohol use at the Mandaue City Hospital.

The two policemen could face administrative investigation for the incident, said Lima-Lima.
