Bohol

CEBU CITY, Philippines— The stakes just got higher as the Dumaguete City Warriors officially introduced their veteran pros, who will likely lead the team in the inaugural Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup slated on April 9, 2021, in Alcantara town, southwestern Cebu.

The Warriors is one of the three newest teams that signed up to join the biggest professional basketball tournament outside NCR.

They signed no less than former University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Jaguars’ and former Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) standouts’ James Regalado and Mannie Gabas.

The other two teams are Siquijor Mystics and the Tabogon Voyagers.

Regalado and Gabas are both from Negros Oriental, particularly in Dauin and Tanjay, respectively. The 6-foot shooting guard Regalado campaigned for the Davao Occidental Tigers and the Rizal Golden Coolers in the MPBL.

The 6-foot-5 Gabas, playing at center played for Cebu Sharks and Manila Stars in the MPBL.
