Vessel conks out at sea, to arrive in Cebu at 3 pm

A Cebu bound passenger cargo vessel identified as the MV Super Shuttle 3 conked out in the middle of the sea at the vicinity of Balicasag, Bohol province at 2 a.m. Monday.

The passenger cargo vessel came from the port of Cagayan and was bound to Mandaue City, Cebu. The Coast Guard were asked to make sure that the 118 passengers, 60 crew are safe and to assist the ship captain.

However they were informed that the ship’s engine had been re-started. Coast Guard District Commander William Melad said the ship is now on its way to Cebu and is expected to arrive at 3:30 p.m./ Correspondent Michelle Padayhag
