Irked that he was only served “buwad” (dried fish) when he asked for food, a man went berserk and tried to attack his son-in-law with a knife in barangay Poog, Toledo City, Cebu.

Gavino Entapa sustained hack wounds when his supposed target Willie Villarmia, 39, managed to overpower him, police said.

Entapa was drunk when he went to Villarmia’s house last Tuesday night, said PO2 Joel Alquiza of Toledo City Police Station.

Entapa complained that he was hungry. Villarmia served Entapa a meal with dried fish.
Entapa was upset with the food and went home.

He returned to Villarmia’s house armed with a knife.

Villarmia prevented Entapa from entering the house but the drunk man kicked the door and barged in.
Police said Entapa tried to stab Villarmia but he parried the blows.

Villarmia then took a bolo and hacked the intruder.

Entapa was brought to a hospital while Villarmia surrendered to the police.
