Patients in Mactan Island will no longer have to cross the bridge and travel to Cebu City to avail of the health care service that they deserve.

On Sunday, March 6, 2022, the Mactan Doctors’ Hospital (MactanDoc) opened its newly completed Medical Arts Building to accommodate more Mactan Island residents who wanted to avail of their expanded services.

MactanDoc also launched its new Dialysis Center that can now accommodate 90 patients per day and its already improved Center for Rehabilitation Medicine.

In its mission to provide better service, another improvement made in the hospital is their new and bigger Center for Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine that can cater to various mobility illnesses that has ample space for recovering patients to enjoy.

MactanDoc’s Medical Arts Building also has a satellite outpatient laboratory clinic.

With over 29 years of experience, MactanDoc and the entire CebuDoc Group continues to uphold their mission of providing the best health care services as they also continue to enjoy the trust and confidence of the Cebuanos.

According to Dr. Potenciano Larrazabal III, president, and chairman of the CebuDoc Group, they take pride in their new and improved facilities as MactanDoc continues to put its patients first while at the same time staying true to its commitment of providing better healthcare services.

Last March 10, 2018, Larrazabal led the groundbreaking of MactanDoc’s Medical Arts Building project.

On March 6, 2022, he then led the official opening of the newly completed structure that houses 50 new doctors’ clinics that are offering different specializations.

“Our doctors now have bigger clinics, and patients no longer have to wait under the sun. Our new building has spacious waiting areas inside and they no longer have to walk far from labs because we set up an outpatient laboratory inside to accommodate primary needs,” Larrazabal said.

In an interview, Larrazabal said, the hospital’s new Dialysis Center has 30 Hemodialysis Machines.

They decided to open their own Dialysis Center following various requests from their patients.

“So when we saw the opportunity, we strategized and immediately worked out to scale up from their 6 machines to 30,” he added.

Their, dialysis center, he said, also has ample space to provide a more comfortable healing environment to their patients.

In addition, improvements were also introduced on the hospital’s Center for Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine to make it bigger and look better.

The center can now be accessed from the parking area and without having to pass through the hospital’s main hallway. The opening of its new access was especially made for patients with mobility conditions.

It also has a cardiovascular equipment for use in strength training exercises and a variety of modalities such as electrotherapy, ultrasound therapy, and other therapy accessories.
