Police arrest three, seize more than P2M shabu
MORE than P2 million worth of shabu were seized from three persons who were arrested in a drug bust in front of a mall in barangay Tabunok, Talisay City last Tuesday afternoon.
Arrested were 31-year-old Paquito Hisola, former taxi driver Redomar Tiana and 27-year-old former bar worker Dianne Brigid Ortega.
Senior Insp. Armando Labora of the Cebu Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) said the three are considered level two drug pushers who can dispose of 200 grams of drugs a week.
He said they source their drugs from a woman resident in Tabunok.
“We asked for 100 grams of shabu but Paquito offered us 200 grams. Redomar and Dianne were with Paquito,” Labora said.
He said the three suspects had no criminal record. The suspects are now detained at the Consolacion police precinct.
In barangay Tangil, Dumanjug town, southwest Cebu, police arrested 37-year-old Ruben Maglinte in a drug bust last Tuesday evening.
But police failed to arrest their target, a level three drug pusher identified as Allan Yap who escaped along with a companion in a shootout with police.
PO2 Glenn Besande said the two men ran off after seeing police arrive in the area. An arrest warrant was issued to Yap by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Judge Leopoldo Cañete of Branch 60, Barili town last Oct. 30.
Taken from Yap’s home were one medium pack and two small packs of shabu worth P59,000.
