A suspected drug pusher was killed after he shot it out with policemen who were looking for illegal firearms in the suspect’s house in sitio Saliring, Malabuyoc, Cebu.

Edward Amante Quiñanola also known as Waddie died after he was shot three times on the chest. Police rushed him to the hospital but he didn’t make it alive.

Police said they were trying to serve a search warrant to Quiñanola when he pulled out a .45 caliber pistol.

Supt. Rex Derilo, chief of the Regional Intelligence Division of the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas, said they had been monitoring Quiñanola for a month after they received reports linking him to several shooting incidents in the town and the selling of illegal drugs in the southern and western towns of Cebu.

Derilo said Quiñanola was a level two drug pusher or one who can sell at least 200 grams of illegal drugs in a week.

Police confiscated during the search of Quiñanola’s house a defaced .38 caliber pistol, a defaced .357 caliber revolver, a .45 pistol and ammunition and 3 packs believed to contain shabu.
