Lapu-Lapu police net P3M worth of illegal drugs from Dec. 5-11

LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu—The Lapu-Lapu City Police Office has confiscated more than P3 million worth of shabu from 14 operations that they conducted from December 5 to 11, 2022.

This was confirmed by Police Colonel Elmer Lim, city director of LCPO.

Lim said that they were able to seize a total of 446.22 grams of shabu during these operations.

Lim said that 14 suspects were also arrested in these operations, four of them  identified as High-Value Individuals (HVIs) while the rest were street-level individuals.

Among the HVIs that were arrested were Christopher Moral alyas “Loloy” and Jaime Bentulan Daro.

The police were able to confiscate 155 grams of shabu from Moral worth more than P1 million and 120 grams of Shabu from Daro with a standard price of P816,000.

Aside from the war against drugs, Lim said that they also intensified their anti-illegal gambling campaign.

In the same period, he said that they apprehended 39 individuals on the 10 operations that they conducted.

Of the 39 individuals, 20 were caught betting on E-Sabong, and 19 others were arrested for separate anti-illegal gambling operations.
