Talisay police last night arrested one of the four suspects in Friday’s shooting incident  that killed a German engineer and wounded two other foreigners in a McDonald’s outlet in Tabunok, Talisay.

Allan Belus, 40 was arrested in his house in barangay San Isidro, Talisay City at 6:20 p.m.

Two witnesses identified him, saying they were  two arms-lengths away from the assailants as they made their getaway.

Belu , who said he was a  television and electronics technician, denied the allegations. He said he was asleep at home at the time of the attack.

Police said they seized a gun from his home. The weapon will be subjected to ballistics test to determine if it matches the slugs and spent shells recovered from the crime scene.

Police said Belus has a long rap sheet linking him to robberies.  He was tagged in a recent shootout with  policemen  who were serving a warrant for  another person in sitio Mananga.
