CEBU CITY, Philippines—  Noontime show, ‘It’s Showtime,’ headed by Vice Ganda, holds a special place in the hearts of countless viewers.

For over a decade, it has been a source of joy, laughter, and inspiration, bringing together Filipinos from all walks of life.

Recently, the show was slapped with a 12-day suspension, due to complaints over alleged “indecent acts” of hosts Vice Ganda and Ion Perez.

Some netizens rallied behind ‘It’s Showtime,’ expressing their love and gratitude for the program that has helped them through trying times.

The said “indecent acts” included the “icing” incident between real-life couple Vice Ganda and Ion Perez during the ‘Isip Bata’ segment of “It’s Showtime.”

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) decided to suspend the show for 12 days in response to this incident.

But the hosts of the show have recently showed they are okay.

Vice Ganda uploaded on her TikTok account a dance video of the Its Showtime family reminding everyone that they will get through this together as a family.

Fans of the show have been expressing their dismay over the decision in recent days, some even calling for the resignation of Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) chairperson Diorella “Lala” Sotto-Antonio.

Vice Ganda was first known for his comedic act “may nag-text” during the early years of the show where she was still a judge for the dance competition in the show.
