DepEd’s revised K-10 curriculum pilot run begins Monday
The Department of Education (DepEd) is all set for the pilot implementation of the revised K-10 curriculum on Monday, Sept. 25, after the curriculum and teaching strand of DepEd completed the training for teachers who will handle the classes.
On Sunday, DepEd said the school and the schools division office personnel who will take part in the implementation, monitoring and assessment of the recalibrated and decongested “Matatag” curriculum have undergone their orientation.
The pilot test will be conducted almost one month after the opening of classes as DepEd took some time to identify the 35 participating public schools from seven regions.
The funds to support the implementation have also been downloaded to the participating regions.
The pilot test will seek to determine challenges and gaps before the Matatag curriculum’s phased implementation beginning in school year 2024-2025.
