A 62-YEAR-OLD taxi driver told police that he was robbed by  two passengers yesterday dawn in barangay Pajac, Lapu-Lapu City.

Jesus Narmoada, driver of Darwaynn Taxi, said P3,200 was taken from him.

He said two men flagged him down in barangay Basak and asked to be brought to Camella Homes in barangay Pajac. When they arrived at their destination, the passenger in the backseat pointed a gun at him  and declared a holdup.

Narmoada said the other passenger seated beside him took his wallet.   The taxi driver was asked to disembark, while the passengers  drove off with the vehicle.

The  driver reported the incident to the Mactan Police Station. The taxi with plate number GXJ-685 was later found abandoned in barangay Maribago.
