A MAN and his live-in partner were arrested after they were caught with counterfeit bills in their possession in barangay Sudlon Uno, Cebu City last Wednesday afternoon.
Fifty fake P1,000 bills were recovered from Ritchel Praba, 33, and Medes Torres, 37.
The two residents of Guihulngan, Negros Oriental were arrested after a vendor told police he received a fake P1,000 bill from the couple who bought soft drinks from him.
Upon receiving the report, operatives of the Pardo Police Station chased the taxi boarded by the couple.
When they were frisked, police recovered several fake bills.
The couple said some of the fake bills came from Negros while the others were bought from a certain Rudy in Colon Street for P200 each.
The couple said the fake bills were to be sold for P300 each.
