ALA International Promotions is currently negotiating a possible bout for ALA Boxing Gym prospect Mark “Machete” Bernaldez of Cebu City against Japanese Tsuyoshi Tameda.
The bout, which is planned to be held in Tokyo, Japan on Aug. 5, is still under negotiations, according to ALA Boxing Gym founder and ALA Promotions International chairman Antonio L. Aldeguer.
Reports have come out that Bernaldez will put his unbeaten record at stake against Tameda but Aldeguer said they have yet to make the bout official.
“The contract has not yet been signed nor presented to us so officially, I cannot say it is on until I get to sign the contract for Bernaldez,” Aldeguer said.
The 23-year-old Bernaldez is touted as the next champion of the ALA Boxing Gym stable because of his great potential inside the ring.
He holds a record of 15 wins with 10 knockouts while the 21-year-old Tameda, also a prospect fighter coming from Nagano, Japan, sports a record of 11 wins with nine knockouts coupled with a single loss and two draws.
If the fight happens, Tameda will be Bernaldez’s third foreign foe.
