A FEW days after a video showing the so-called “Laglag Barya” gang went viral, another robbery incident was recorded and uploaded to social media recently.

Footage from a security camera installed in a fastfood restaurant in Panagdait, Mabolo, Cebu City showed three persons conspired to rob a bag from one of the diners of a Burger King outlet.

The video posted by Kenny Tiu on his Facebook account last night showed the three suspects surround a male victim, a family member of Tiu who waited for  a meal.

The first suspect intentionally bumped the victim’s table to distract him while the other two sneaked from behind and grabbed his bag. The three immediateluy fled the restaurant.

Tiu said they reported it to the police only to be told that it is hard for them to arrest the suspects merely by showing their faces from the security camera footage.

“We had reported it to the police and filed a report but all they said was ‘it is hard for us to catch the thieves with just their faces, better if you have their names. Hoping that this will serve as a lesson to everyone and we could share it to our loved ones,” Tiu said.

The one minute, 50 second video has been shared over a thousand times since it was posted last night.

Last June 12, a video showing the “Laglag Barya” gang stealing a female jeepney passenger’s bag went viral. Police only warned the public to be vigilant against these robbers.
