A 45-YEAR-OLD construction worker fell to his death from the 15th floor of a building under construction in Lapu-Lapu City on Monday.
Reymundo Nuñez was doing masonry work on Tower 2 of the 8th Mactan Newtown Building, said Insp. Zenaido Pastorfide.
Police said that workers were equipped with safety harnesses and other protective gear but Nuñez may have removed his harness and forgotten to put it back on when he resumed work.
Foul play was ruled out.
Police said the contractor and Mactan Newtown management were willing to provide financial assistance to the victim’s family.
