CCSC pushes for extended Bakbakan

By: Irish D. Torres July 24,2015 - 10:58 AM

With the goal of designing a monthly sports competition that targets to hone the skills of public school athletes, the Cebu City Sports Commission (CCSC) plans to modify their Bakbakan activity into an “extended Bakbakan” program.

The main purpose of this reconfiguration is to prepare the kids for Palarong Pambansa.

The said extended program will commence next month at Cebu City Sports Institute and in several public school gyms in Cebu City. It will be held every last Saturday of the month.

To make this advocacy effective and strong, CCSC will partner with the Department of Education (DepEd), Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) and the coaches and athletes from different universities of Cebu. Virginia Foods, Julie’s Bakeshop, and IPI will also be lending a hand.
