The Cebu City government paid its obligations worth close to P100 million to all its accredited partner schools in the city’s scholarship program except for one school which sued the city.
City Treasurer Diwa Cuevas yesterday said 22 partner schools were paid for the second semester of school year 2014-2015.
These include the University of the Visayas, University of Cebu Main Campus and Banilad Campus, University of the Philippines, Cebu Institute of Technology University and the Cebu Technological University.
The city withheld the payment for Asian College of Technology payables worth P135 million covering a period of two years.
ACT earlier filed a case against the Cebu City government with the Office of the Ombudsman Visayas.
Cuevas said this is the reason the ACT has not been paid yet.
