Heavy rain floods Metro Cebu, worsens traffic
Heavy rain caused floods to some areas in Metro Cebu, stranding pedestrians and worsening traffic Monday afternoon.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services (Pagasa) issued a thunderstorm advisory and warned of possible flooding in low-lying areas.
Alfredo Quiblat, acting chief of Pagasa Mactan, advised everyone to stay indoors and avoid touching metals as these are conductors that may cause electrocution.
He also warned the public to avoid staying under the trees, electric poles, and in the flooded areas.
