Several Yamaha motorcycle clubs from Cebu and Bohol converged at the Cafe Racer at the North Reclamation Area in Mandaue City last Sept. 5 for Yamaha Motors Philippines Inc. Grand Eyeball II.

More than a hundred owners of Yamaha motorcycles from different clubs joined the event that is considered the biggest gathering of various Yamaha motorcycle clubs outside of Manila.

Spearheading the unique gathering was Yamaha Motors Philippines Inc. sales and marketing director Kaoru Ogura.

“This is simply a thanksgiving event for our loyal Yamaha motorcycle owners who share the same passion with us,” Ogura said of the event that was planned after a small gathering two years ago.

“We started this event in a gasoline station and now it grew so big we had to find a bigger venue. We are very thankful to the Cebuanos for their continuing support to Yamaha Motors,” Ogura added.

The activity also aimed to strengthen the camaraderie among the Yamaha clubs in the region.

The clubs that joined were Yamaha Fino Club Cebu, United Sniper Club of Cebu, South Scooter Club, All Mio Club Cebu, SZ16 Riders of Cebu, Yamaha Cebuana Club, Soul i Exclusive Team Cebu, Mio MXi Cebu, FZ16 Club Cebu Philippines, Mio Elite Scooter Cebu, Vegaforce Riders Pack, Tribu Del Mio De Bohol, Street Monarch Sniper Club Bohol and R15 Cebu Club.

Joining Ogura during the fun-filled night event was Visayas Sales Manager Carlo Monterola.
