LTFRB-7 suspends franchise of mini-bus implicated in Mandaue accident
The regional Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB-7) suspended this afternoon the franchise of the mini-bus that got involved in a vehicular accident in Canduman, Mandaue City last Saturday.
Regional LTFRB-7 director Reynaldo Elnar said the suspension will last for 30 days.
He said an initial investigation shows there was “mechanical error” that caused the accident.
He said he issued a show cause order to the operator Rodulfo Davidon requiring him to appear at the LTFRB-7 office on Nov. 11 at 2 p.m.
Davidon will submit an accident report to explain why their Certificate of Public Convenience (CPC) will not be permanently suspended. LTFRB-7 is also asking a copy of the drug test result of the driver and the road worthiness inspection report from the Land Transportation Office (LTO-7).
The mini-bus with plate number GWN 430 slammed into three persons and left two dead and 22 people injured.
