ELECTRONIC commerce platform carmudi.com.ph is looking to add four more regional offices in 2016 to expand its coverage in the Visayas and Mindanao.

The new offices will be located in Iloilo, Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro and Davao, said Carmudi marketing head Kris Lim.

He said they will also be focusing on expanding the list of motorcycles on their site.

“In 2015, there are as many as 5 million motorcycles registered. This is projected to increase to 6 to 7 million by 2016,” he said, citing data from the Land Transportation Office (LTO).

The increase of 1 to 2 million registered motorcycles is “good business for Carmudi,” he added.

The company noted that 45 percent of users are located in the Visayas region. Majority, or 55 percent, are located in the national capital region (NCR) and Mindanao.

Of the 45 percent in the Visayas, the bulk is from Cebu.

To increase overall competitiveness and consumer base, Carmudi has decided to participate in Worldbex Services International’s 9th Cebu Auto Show (CAS).

Located in the SM City Cebu Northwing covered grounds, as many as 75 booths are present during the expo, showcasing the latest car models, sound systems and accessories.

The show was launched yesterday in tandem with Worldbex’s 7th Cebu Food and Beverage Expo (CEFBEX). Food and beverages from all over the region will be displayed in the expo’s various booths located in SM City Cebu Trade Hall.

Both expos will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Nov. 5 to 8.
