CEBU SCHOOL of Chess will hold its seventh kiddies qualifying tournament on Nov. 22 at its facility along P. del Rosario Street in Cebu City.

The tournament will be using a seven-round Swiss system format.

The champion will take home P1,000 while P500 goes to the second-placer. The third-placer gets P300.

The winner of this tournament will also book a seat to the grand finals slated December, where he will face other qualifiers for the “Player of the Year” title.

In the previous qualifying tournament, Edsel Vosotros of the University of Cebu emerged champion with 4.5 points while Jerish John Velarde of Lapu-Lapu City placed second with 4.0 points.

Both Vosotros and Velarde qualified to the grand finals.

Registration fee for the event is set at P100. Non-members are also invited to join the tournament but will have to pay P150.
