One died while 12 others, including three kids, were injured when a Toyota Revo hit a motorcycle and fell into the sea. The vehicle was crossing the Tapon-Tangil bridge in Dumanjug town, south Cebu at around 6 p.m. Sunday.
The motorcycle driver, Amancio Tampus Jr., 23 was pronounced dead at the Dumanjug Provincial Hospital.
The Revo was coming from Ronda town and headed to Cebu City.
The motorbike was traveling in the opposite lane when the collision happened.
All passengers of the Revo including the driver, Rodulfo Cabante, 60, were rescued from the sea by residents in the area who brought them to the hospital.
Among those injured was PO2 Gretel Cabante, a member of the Cebu City Special Weapons and Tactics (Swat) team.
Another motorcycle driver, 25-year-old John Michael Tejas, who was tailing Tampus, was also hit and injured.
