Liloan gymnasts bag 13 gold medals in Cebu Provincial Meet
GYMNASTS from the municipality of Liloan town northern Cebu put up impressive performances en route to bagging 13 gold medals, 12 silvers and 10 bronze medals in the gymnastics competition of the 2015 Cebu Provincial Sports and Cultural Meet yesterday in Dalaguete, southern Cebu.
The secondary gymnastics team of Liloan displayed its unparalleled dominance in the sport, winning 17 out of the 26 medals at the stake in their division.
Liloan’s secondary team finished off their campaign with seven gold medals, six silvers and five bronze medals.
Neighboring town Compostela was the only team in the secondary level to have won a medal, finishing with three golds, three silvers and three bronze medals.
Not to be outdone were the Liloan elementary squad, which wound up first in its division with a haul of six golds, six silvers and five bronze medals.
Compostela was once again in far second in the overall medal tally with six gold medals, eight silvers and five bronze medals while Consolacion town completed the top three with three gold medals, one silver and one bronze.
