UCMed inaugurates new center

Living up to its vision of providing quality care coupled with affordability and efficiency, the University of Cebu Medical Center (UCMed) unveiled its latest addition to its array of person-centered healthcare services last November 10.

UCMed’s Overseas Workers and Seafarers Center serves as a one-stop medical and dental facility that primarily offers pre-employment medical exam packages. The package deals are up for grab for both land and sea-based overseas workers as well as local and international seafarers. Aside from the basic tests like CBC, Chest X-ray, stool exam, and physical exams, the offered services include audiometry, dental exam, ECG, HIV testing, psychometric exam, and visual acuity and color blindness test. The center also provides customization of the medical packages according to the needs of the patients.

Aside from pre-employment medical exams, UCMed also caters various annual check-up needs and out-patient requirements at a reasonable price without uncompromising quality.

Additionally, the center positively promises to keep up with the fast-paced demands of its clientele through its state-of-the-art equipment and facilities that incontestably yields accurate and speedy results. Incoming patients need not to be skeptical for the center prides itself with a roster of highly competent and distinguished doctors and medical staff. Generally, the working forces of the center live up to its mantra of customer satisfaction and security.

These amenities paved the way for the center to be accredited by the Department of Health (DOH), Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA), and the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).
