A teenager and a young woman were wounded on Thursday after they were shot by one of the two men on board a motorcycle shortly after visiting a detainee at the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC) in barangay Kalunasan, Cebu City.

Hannah Eltanal Epe, 27, and a native of Ozamiz City, suffered bullet wound on the head while her companion, a 14-year-old girl from Lapu-Lapu City, was hit in the nape.

Police said the two left the provincial jail past 4 p.m. after visiting Gino Pilapil, a detainee.

While riding a habal-habal (motorcycle for rent), two men on board a separate motorcycle chased them. The back rider then pulled out a gun and shot the two who fell on the pavement. The perpetrators then sped off while residents rushed to the victims to bring them to the hospital.
